We aren’t your typical 3PL or order fulfillment company. At Tamarack Solutions, we understand your needs because we are a small business ourselves. Our story began with our sister company, Gecko Grow, a thriving indoor gardening e-commerce company. Gecko started out of a garage in Calgary, but has since grown into a trusted brand in alternative agriculture across Canada.
Running a customer-facing business ourselves means we have built our sourcing, warehousing and order fulfillment services around what a small business actually needs. Tamarack Solutions was born because businesses we work with through Gecko Grow started to take notice and asked if we could help them too.

Shipping Costs How Much?
The Problem
Our client was in the final stages of getting their product ready for market. Their product is big and heavy, so the shipping quotes they were getting were very high. They were concerned they would lose sales if they had to charge their customers so much for shipping. They also didn’t have an inventory storage solution in place.
Our Solution
Leveraging our existing shipping contracts and our in-house warehousing and fulfillment resources, we put together a complete warehousing, order fulfillment and shipping proposal for our client that will result in big savings over doing it themselves.
Help with Bulk Purchasing
The Problem
Our client had an upcoming need for a large amount of a specific product to support their operations. They had been purchasing smaller amounts from local retailers, but with the increase in demand, the bill from the retailers (even with a quantity discount) was going to be very high.
Our Solution
We leveraged demand across multiple clients and existing wholesale relationships to secure bulk pricing that resulted in a much lower cost to our client and simplified their sourcing process. We also identified other products in their operations that could be converted to a bulk purchasing model.
Shining a Light on Things
The Problem
Our client needed lighting to grow a specific type of plant in a new way. Traditional plant lights were expensive and they approached us to see if we could source them at a lower cost. The system would be installed in a rural location, so low electricity usage required consideration too.
Our Solution
We identified an alternative lighting approach that not only came at a lower cost, but also reduced the electrical requirements so much that they ended up downsizing the electrical equipment for the entire system – resulting in even more savings.
